Oluyide Olu-Lawal is a development consultant with over two decades of experience spanning private and public sectors in the areas training and capacity building, project management, social research, political economy, institutional assessment and reform programmes.
He started his professional career as the pioneer Head of Corporate Affairs department of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). While at CITN, he served as Secretary to various committees including the Tax Reform Committee. He also acted for the Registrar/Chief Executive for a period of three months before the appointment of a substantive Registrar/Chief Executive. He had a brief stint in the public service before venturing into development work.
He is a seasoned administrator, an astute institutional capacity development and a procurement expert. He has worked on many multilateral projects funded by the EU, UNDP, AfD and WB. As an experienced human Capital development expert, policy and organizational development expert, he assists organizations to develop their human Capital in line with their visions and missions.
Oluyide has been involved in conducting institutional assessment of federal and state institutions, helping to identify capacity gaps and recommending how to fill the identified gaps. He was involved in building capacity of Local Government procurement officers on transparent procurement process as well as facilitating capacity building at the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria among others.
Oluyide Olu-Lawal is a CMD certified trainer and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), an MSc in Public Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Gender and Policy Studies. He is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (chartered), Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria, and Nigeria Institute of Public Relations. He has also attended several on-site and on-line trainings including Project Management, Effective Public Procurement Procedures, Administrative and Financial Procedures for Managing projects, Public Enterprise Management, and Leadership and Management trainings.
He is also currently working with other professionals on a study grant in public healthcare institutions in Nigeria.
