Prince Rasaq Adekunle Quadri has been summarily described as a distinguished gentleman in every sense of the word – conduct, character and carriage. This astute Tax Practitioner, seasoned Chartered Accountant and Management Consultant completed his Higher National Diploma at Federal Polytechnic, Idah, Kogi State in 1985. It is worthy to note that during this period he excelled in both academic and social spheres.

No sooner he completed his service with the National Youth Service Corp, he enrolled and passed the qualifying examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in May 1987 and was admitted Fellow of the Institute in May 1995, the same year he was admitted Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria having been admitted an Associate Member in 1990. He was admitted Associate Member of Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered) in 1996 and Fellow, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria 2019.

Prince Quadri whose successful professional career spanned more than three and half decades started his working career as an Audit Trainee with Ogunbajo Okubule & Co. (Chartered Accountants) in 1982. He acquired further experience and exposure while serving in various organisations such as his father’s firm, Oladipupo Quadri & Co. (Chartered Accountants) where he rose to the position of Partner, Technical. Presently, he is the Managing Partner of Rasaq Quadri & Company, Chartered Accountants & Tax Practitioners Chairman, Marrs Consults and a Non-Executive Director Fabo Petroleum Company Limited amongst others.

A professional to the core, Prince Quadri served the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in various capacities between 1989 and 2005.

He also served the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria in virtually all facets of the Institute from 1991 to date.  On 4th June, 2011, he was elected as the President/Chairman of Council of CITN, the tenure of which ended on 2nd June, 2011.  In February 2011, he was elected as the pioneer President of the West Africa Union of Tax Institutes (WAUTI), the umbrella body for tax professional bodies in West Africa.  His tenure ended on 10th May, 2013.

As part of his contributions to the growth of taxation education in Nigeria, he endowed a prize for the best female student in CITN’s Professional Examination II in 2007.  Two notable achievements during his tenure as the President of CITN were the inauguration of Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT) in 2010 and foundation laying of CITN Tax Professional House in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos Sate, Nigeria – 2011.

At the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), he served as Assistant Secretary-General (2006-8), member APBN’s Editorial Board that drafted the blue print on Nigerian economy (2007), Chairman, APBN President Investiture Ceremony (2014) and Chairman, APBN Think Tank Committee (2014-2016).

He also served as a member, Joint Tax Board (JTB) Technical & Appraisal Committee 2011-2013; member, Management Board, International School, Olabisi Onabanjo University 2006-2008; Treasurer, Parents-Teachers Association, International School, Olabisi Onabanjo University, 2005-2008.

Prince Quadri was the General Secretary Shooting Star of Islam 1942, pioneer Secretary General, CITN Body of Past President and Texting Secretary, Olive Circle of Nigeria, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Prince Quadri’s dedication to service, exemplary quality leadership and administrative competence has been recognised and acknowledged through various awards and commendations the latest of which was the merit award by WAUTI in Cotonou, Benin Republic, February 2024.

A Resource Person at tax and some other educational programmes, Prince Quadri has written books and articles, including seminal works. To his credit amongst the books are unpublished works titled Towards Uniformity in Accounting for Nigerian Companies, Accounting for non-Accounting Managers and An Overview of the Nigerian Tax System – Need to Accelerate Reform.

He is undoubtedly committed to his profession. In all these offices, he was motivated by the idea of service to humanity.
